After a long time spent focusing on becoming one of, if not the top road bike brand on the World Tour, Pinarello has finally made their return to the cross country scene. The logical place to start was to make a Dogma for the dirt. With such high level riders as Tom Pidcock and Pauline Ferrand-Prévot racking up wins on the MTB scene, it was only logical to get them Dogma level Pinarellos for XC. This is the full travel version of the Dogma XC, including a Fox Float SL Factory rear suspension which allows for travel adjustments of either 100mm or 120mm of rear travel. The front can be fitted with a suspension fork for extra travel.

As is the case with their high end road bikes, Pinarello opted for an asymmetrical frame. The left side of the rear triangle is reinforced helping to counterbalance the higher forces of the drive side. More balanced energy leads to better stability and better speed and traction. The rear triangle is comprised of two semi-triangles fitted to a main rotation point. This eliminates the standard external bridge, allowing chainstay length to be reduced for better handling, reactivity, and less mud accumulation. The chain and seat stays are also asymmetric, providing more balanced acceleration. Its unique bottom bracket area also helps promote powerful speed and flexibility. Even off the road, Pinarello frames are made for power and speed.

The Dogma XC makes sure that riding over tough terrain can still be fast by dialing in their suspension kinematics. Flex stays allow for the geometry of the bike to be optimized with just three picot points on the rear triangle without altering rear wheel travel. This also improves stiffness and lowers weight. It creates optimal compression and rebound on descents maximizes control. A bearing and bushing system helps reduce friction at each pivot point and take high impact force. Anti-rise and anti-squat values were also considered to make climbing and descending equally viable. Speed comes as a result of an easier ride and the Dogma XC helps take the edge off. Pinarello is back in the XC game and they are starting with a truly elite bike in the Dogma XC.
